Landscape
This collection of pictures came about as a result of my love of the landscape of Derbyshire. I love using bright, primary colours to recreate the vibrancy and immediacy of the hills..
I work mainly in oils wth plenty of turpentine, although recently I have been experimenting with mixed-media such as fabrics, cotton and hand made paper.

I have been living in the funny old town of Buxton for the last 7 years now, and am still trying to get to grips to the incredible diversity of colour and view that you can find on a single one hour walk.... dictated by the changeable weather, the land seems to possess a light all of it's own; on certain occasions it seems as if to glow with an absorbed light of it's own. Of course, on other times, it is impossible to see the view for the rain..!
