Abstract |
I have only recently started doing abstracts but already I find it incredibly liberating and refreshing to release the colours, form and shape from the rigidity of perspective that has formally dictated my landscape work...although, ironically, it has allowed me to since return to landscapes with fresh ideas and a looser style.
These pictures are part of a project where I have been investigating the similarity of Big and Small, the galactical and the microscopic...Using as my inspiration images taken from both Hubble and Electron microscopes I have taken absolute delight in recreating the natural forms of life, cell division, erosion, entropy and eventual decay that we constantly see all around us. |
